Slice of Heaven: Slice 18 – Weddings in Washington
So last year we did a little giveaway for a special 2011 couple. We wanted to know about love stories and destination weddings that would knock our socks off and one lucky couple would win the wedding photography of a lifetime. At the very end of 2010 we got one last submission on December 30th that by far takes the cake. We are so pleased to announce the winners of our dream photography destination wedding – Lindsey and Mike. They have known each other for seven years and were engaged in Las Vegas when Mike proposed via a limo driver holding a sign with the words “Lindsay, Will You Marry Me?” written on it. It took her a moment to process the info and I’m sure for Mike it felt like an eternity, but she said YES and they had a great getaway in Vegas. A special thanks to the fellow photographer who took their engagement photos shown below.
The wedding will take place in Bellingham, WA in August of this year and will be quite a treat. We can’t wait to escape the summer heat of AZ for the garden of Eden in Washington and soak up some of that beautiful weather. Mike is a Royal Canadian Mounted Police Officer and will be in full uniform for the wedding and they will be incorporating all kinds of fun Pacific Northwest items for the big day. The reception will take place at the Bellingham Yacht Club and friends and family will be flying in from all over the country and Canada as well. We had a great Skype meeting with Lindsay and Mike and loved how happy they are and their very genuine personalities. The dream wedding photography will incorporate the rehearsal dinner, ceremony, reception and a special day after session so stay tuned for all of the fun and great photos!
