Bridal Diaries: Real Life Brides – Ashley
With the wedding being less than 7 months away, a lot more has been happening within the last two weeks, as we are entering “crunch” time for booking florists and ordering invitations. Last weekend, we went shopping at Destiny’s Bride in Scottsdale, and while the service was incredible, there just weren’t any “wow” dresses. I was joined by my mother, sister, and two maids of honor while trying on dresses. We then headed to MariĆ©e salon in Gainey Ranch, Scottsdale, where I tried on one dress and everyone was left speechless! It was an experience only found in the movies! We bought the dress that day, which is being designed in London at the moment!

We booked our hotel block for guests–the Scottsdale Plaza Resort. Rob’s parents are still trying to put the rehearsal dinner together, with little help from us…we are trying to find several places for the dinner and are also considering the PV Country Club (our reception venue) as well.
Since the dress has been finalized, so have the wedding colors! Silver continues to be the theme, with an addition of light pink flowers, as there is light pink on my dress. My best friend, Revan, gave me the idea to use Peonies, her favorite flower…which will absolutely be in the bridesmaids bouquets, and possibly in a shorter centerpiece.

I also really love these white dahlias.

I LOVE this one…a high centerpiece, with cherry blossoms.
We are boiling down our florists choices, with God’s Garden Treasures (Tempe) and Rita’s Floral Designs (Phoenix) in the lead.
I have been thinking about hairstyles lately as well, and with my dress, I am particularly interested in a half-up. My hairstylist, Marissa, works for Saints & Scissors in Old Town Scottsdale. My make-up artist, who has worked with our family for years, is Janet, who manages MAC at the Biltmore in Phoenix.

Ashley has began the working out process! Finally…and Rob remains on his cup of noodle diet! Ha ha…
Sincerely – Ashley
I love solving problems and creating something from nothing.
