Slice of Heaven: Slice 13 & 14 Old Friends

Today I had the privilege of seeing our old friends from our days in Washington.  Now, these aren’t just any old friends, they are the adopted grandparents of my babies and are basically family.  You see when we lived in Seattle we didn’t have ANY family there so we quickly became friends with this wonderful family and it’s been history ever since.  They were there for Thanksgivings when we were away from home and for the birth of our first little one.  My wife has a gift and talent of really becoming a family member to her best friends, even so much as to eat their bagels any time she stops by 😉  It was so good to see them.  We reminised and talked about what’s going on now while we perused some of the photos we did last year for their daughter in California.  I can’t believe that our little girl doesn’t even know them and yet it seems like yesterday we spent so many fun times in their huge, beautiful back yard in the never ending northwestern days.  Those were the days… and now, this was the day we got to relive it all over.  Great to see them and even better, now my little girl knows who we talk about all the time… even if she won’t remember tomorrow!

  1. I wasn’t even aware that I wasn’t keeping it clean. And I probably shouldn’t be as humored by that as I am…but alas, I’m more than half Finch, I suppose.

I got the gift certificate, thanks. You’re a pal!
