Reel Motion Rehearsal – Blackstone Country Club
During the month of April we had so much fun. Not only did we get to be a part of tons of weddings, shooting and celebrating with our couples, we also had the awesome opportunity to visit a venue I’d never been to before. Aleasha and Cara from A Day to Cherish thought it would be great for us to do a Reel Motion Rehearsal of the Blackstone Country Club for Darryelyn’s wedding. The venue is beautiful and sits atop the hills in Peoria’s Vistancia community. Spacious and romantic, Blackstone is one of those venues that transforms a wedding into a high class, fairytale story. It’s really that beautiful. Given more time we would have shot the spiraling staircases and interior ball rooms but we didn’t want to interrupt the flow of the wedding too much. So, with that said, I’ll have to stop talking and just let Cara tell you about the wedding and let you see for yourself!

Darrelyn came to A Day to Cherish with a very specific look in mind for her wedding. She had THE color, THE flower and a vision of exactly what she wanted for her big day. Unfortunately, Darrelyn, being an accountant and very left brained in character, needed our help to execute the look she was hoping to achieve. After a few brainstorming sessions we wrapped our head around her vision and everything fell perfectly into place. With the modern Tuscan backdrop of Blackstone Country Club as our canvas, we added rich wood tables and chairs in lieu of the traditional round tables with linens to add warmth with a modern touch. The texture of the dark wood was the perfect accent to the elegant orchids and lush floral arrangements that flowed across the feasting tables. The guests enjoyed the sunset in the gorgeous courtyard set up that embodied everything Darrelyn had imagined. What a beautiful evening and a fabulous event!
I love solving problems and creating something from nothing.

“With the modern Tuscan backdrop of Blackstone Country Club as our canvas…” Isn’t Blackstone’s Clubhouse a Spanish Hacienda?
Beautifully shot though.
